Competitions and Sponsorship Opportunities

The Australian Friesian Warmblood Horse Society Inc. (AFWHS) supports and promotes Friesian Warmblood horses by sponsoring events and classes across Australia.  These events showcase the versatility, beauty, and performance of Friesian Warmblood horses.

State based shows
AFWHS hosts a range of state-based events throughout the year. Dates and locations are announced on the AFWHS website and/or state Facebook pages.

Agricultural shows
Agricultural shows across Australia often host Friesian Warmblood classes. Registered horses can compete in Royal and Agricultural classes throughout the show season.

The Society is always open to sponsoring classes. If you know of an upcoming opportunity for Friesian Warmblood competitions, please contact your state representative.

Support for competitions and events

AFWHS is proud to support competitions and events that showcase Friesian Warmblood horses. To ensure sponsorship opportunities are considered and organised effectively:

  • Applications: Must be submitted at least 6 weeks before the event. This allows the Society to review requests and coordinate sponsorship support.
  • Response: The Society will aim to provide a response no later than 14 days before the event wherever possible.

Sponsorship conditions & expectations:

  • Sponsorship is provided at the discretion of AFWHS and is intended to support events that align with the Society’s goals of promoting Friesian Warmblood horses.
  • Applicants must provide complete and accurate event details, including the organiser’s contact information. Incomplete applications may delay or prevent consideration.  ADD LINK TO REQUEST FORM?
  • AFWHS expects organisers to acknowledge and promote the Society’s sponsorship at the event (e.g., in programs, signage, announcements).
  • While every effort will be made to approve sponsorship, submission does not guarantee acceptance. If multiple requests exceed available state budget, the application may be referred to the AFWHS Committee for final review.
