The Society was formed in 1998 to maintain a register of horses, promote and sponsor classes at shows and hold annual Hi-point awards.
The Society publishes quarterly newsletters, hosts state-based events, encourages and promotes the Friesian Warmblood breed throughout Australia.
A Friesian Warmblood is any cross breed of horse that includes a minimum 25% Friesian blood. They can be any colour and there are no height restrictions.
Registered Friesian Warmbloods are currently competing successfully in eventing, dressage, show jumping, the showring, western events, harness as well as countless pleasure horses.
